What is your goal for Laser Vision Correction?
Please think about this carefully as it will help determine if this procedure is right for you. Do you expect "perfect" vision? What would be preceived as "perfect" for one person might not be for the next. The vast majority of LASIK patients feel they have very good un corrected vision after the procedure and many term their vision as "perfect". Your final results, even though they may be the best possible, may not give you what you perceive as "perfect" vision. Do you expect not to wear glasses or contacts for the rest of your life? Unfortunately, with today's technology, this is an unrealistic expectation. As you age you will need correction for reading and close work even if you currently wear reading correction and have decided on the monovision procedure. It is also possible you may still need a very small correction for driving. If you have been to other Laser centers and they did not properly go over all of the risks so as to convince you that the procedure is "simple, painless, and perfect" we feel they are doing you a disservice in the name of profit. If they haven't told you everything, then they have done just that... NOT TOLD YOU EVERYTHING. We will go over every possible risk and complication no matter how small the percentage. Lasik is a phenomenal procedure but it is still surgery.
